Our Program
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine’s pediatric residency program is consistently one of the most sought after in the country. Through the affiliation with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, residents work in one of the major pediatric teaching hospitals in the United States. In 2023, 75 percent of the graduating residents chose to pursue additional training within a pediatric fellowship and were accepted at top fellowship programs across the country, while about 25 percent chose careers in Primary Care or Hospital-Based Medicine, and accepted jobs across Chicago, the region and country.
Nearly 400 residents and fellows are trained at Lurie Children’s annually. These residents are part of a team that emphasizes quality teaching and learning, from pediatric subspecialty fellows to the more than 200 medical students who gain pediatric experience by rotating through our institutions.
