The Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine offers a one-year advanced fellowship in Advanced Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Fellowship. We are one of the largest pediatric brain tumor centers in the nation and see well over 160 pediatric brain tumor patients each year. We are a phase I institution within the Children’s Oncology Group, members of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium, NF-1 Consortium, Collaborative Ependymoma Network and numerous local and national consortia.

 Education

The Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Fellowship is a one-year clinical/clinical research fellowship that provides expert training in pediatric brain and spinal cord tumors. The Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Fellowship offers a rare opportunity to experience the multidisciplinary care necessary for successful comprehensive pediatric brain tumor patient care, including exposure to neurology, neurosurgery, neuropathology, neuroradiology, neuropsychology, radiation-oncology and survivorship. Trainees are afforded the opportunity to participate in Phase I trial development and enrollment. The year includes frequent didactic sessions, journal club conferences, weekly multidisciplinary Brain Tumor Board and intense clinical patient experiences.&
