Why did you choose Lurie?

I chose Lurie because I wanted to train at a high-volume transplant center and gain as much experience as possible managing pre/post liver transplant complications. I also really enjoyed meeting all the attendings on my interview day. I was so inspired by the research the liver transplant team was pursuing and the cutting-edge papers coming from this institution. I knew it would be a wonderful place to train and gain research experience.

What has been the most awarding experience so far?

It’s always the most rewarding experience to watch a child thrive after liver transplant and go on to live their lives outside the hospital walls.

What do you do for fun to relax?

I really enjoy ready books. I’m a big Orangetheory fan. I love to travel and spend time with my family.

What do you love most about Chicago?

I love the energy and ambiance of the city. There is so much to appreciate about each season. Chicago the best city in the entire world!
